Local. Grassroots. Collaborative.
Co-founders Ellie and Isotta met at the school gates of their primary school on the corner of Harrow Road, London on the cusp of the millennium. Both, driven by a love of acting, writing, music and general curiosity (about everything!), found themselves on paths that combined these interests in various ways. In early 2020, Isotta and Ellie founded Their Story. Driven by a passion for their local area and the people and stories they grew up with, they felt that there was an opportunity to tell stories about and for the people who lived there as a way of bridging gaps in culture, lifestyle and experiences.
Their Story is a multimedia platform based in Westminster and the surrounding area. Our two main outputs of work, that prioritise collaboration, are:
1. Creating short films with and for residents in the local community.
2. Researching, writing and sharing local news stories with and about the local community .
It is our shared and uncompromising mission to do things differently. You can read our core principles here which aim to incorporate transparency, sensitivity and collaboration at the heart of what we do.
